What impact will the legends make on RAW 25?

With a number of legends set to return and a few big angles in the works, Raw 25 is shaping up to be one of the most action-packed episodes of the flagship show in recent memory.

However, there is also one particular great who may not return despite being advertised, and there may even be a Legends Battle Royal at the Manhattan Center.

So, without further ado, let's dive into the 5 rumours that you need to know before Raw 25.

#1 The Undertaker and John Cena to set up their WrestleMania match?

Will these two titans of wrestling finally square off at WrestleMania?

According to a report from Cageside Seats, The Undertaker and John Cena will set up their WrestleMania match at Raw 25.

After his exit at WrestleMania 33, most people assumed that The Deadman wouldn't wrestle again. However, it now appears that he will step back into the ring in New Orleans, the sight of his first defeat at the Showcase of the Immortals, for one last match.

A match between John Cena and The Undertaker has been rumoured for several years and doesn't have the same allure without the Streak.

#2 Roman Reigns to lose the Intercontinental Championship?

On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer suggested that Roman Reigns would lose the Intercontinental Championship to The Miz at Raw 25.

The Georgia Tech product is currently pencilled in to dethrone Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania and is certain to drop the Intercontinental title before the Show of Shows. The Miz has also proven to be a more-than-capable Champion; he will likely carry the IC title into WrestleMania and defend it in a multi-man match.

#3 Legends Battle Royal to take place at the Manhattan Center?

@TicketDrew, a wrestling insider, recently tweeted that Raw 25 would feature a legends battle royal at the Manhattan Center. During an appearance on X-Pac's podcast, Scott Hall stated that the WWE office asked him to bring his wrestling gear, only adding fuel to this fire.

A Battle Royal would also be an interesting way to utilise Superstars such as the Dudley Boyz and MVP who can't anchor segments on a show of this magnitude.

#4 Chris Jericho's return reportedly "up in the air"

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that Chris Jericho's status for Raw 25 was "up in the air." The two parties reportedly couldn't strike a deal as of January 19, 2018.

Even though he just wrestled Kenny Omega and is set to have a match with Tetsuya Naito, Jericho is, contractually, a free agent. In fact, Meltzer reported last week that several NJPW executives expected the former WWE Champion to appear at Raw 25.

However, WWE is still in negotiations with Jericho and are determined to bring him in for Raw 25 as he has already been advertised for the show.

#5 The Revival to be placed in "The Ascension spot"

Cageside Seats suggests that The Revival will be fed to the legends at Raw 25. The duo made a dig at several Hall of Famers, including Shawn Michaels and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, during the previous episode of the flagship show and will likely receive their comeuppance this Monday.

The Ascension was placed in a similar spot during the Raw Reunion show in 2015, where they interrupted an NWO promo and received a beating from The New Age Outlaws and The APA for their troubles.
