#3 Why did Lars Sullivan attack Kurt Angle?

After waiting for almost five months, the WWE Universe finally got what they had been waiting for, the arrival of The Freak.

While the introduction of Lars Sullivan wasn’t met with the best reaction by fans, as he was a bit too late in debuting and the hype around his arrival had already died down, he did introduce himself in tremendous fashion.

Sullivan went on to attack Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle, who just retired from wrestling a night ago, and he did so to attract a lot of hate from the crowd and become a major heel in the process.

While one can’t question the impact his arrival has made, it’s the choice of prey that is questionable. Kurt Angle has already retired, and it makes little sense to have Lars attack a 50-year-old on his debut.

WWE had a great chance of having him wreak havoc in the main event to make a huge point, or even intervene in Bobby Lashley and Dean Ambrose’s match or attack one of the tag teams.

Why did Lars go after Kurt Angle and not an established superstar with whom he can have his first rivalry?
