Mahal shouted 'Shanti' in hopes to calm down Strowman. KO caught the Money in the Bank briefcase and ran as Braun chased after him. Braun got the briefcase back and returned to the ring. Strowman sent Jinder flying across the ring as KO stole the briefcase and ran yet again. Braun caught up to KO and smacked him a couple of times before Jinder intervened. Braun hit Jinder with the briefcase, earning a disqualification.

Braun chased Jinder down to the timekeeper's area after the match and Sunil Singh came to the rescue. Singh was tossed around ringside by Braun who retrieved his briefcase and went back to ring as Jinder mocked him from the stands.

Backstage, Constable Corbin got a phone call from Stephanie McMahon and handed the phone to Angle. It turned out that Stephanie forbade Roman Reigns from teaming up with Seth Rollins and if Reigns didn't comply, he would have to forfeit his title shot at SummerSlam. The match was then declared to be a handicap match and Reigns attacked Corbin yet again after he announced the fact.
