WWE: Reason behind the firing of Head Writer Jay Gibson explained

Zuber
WWE CEO, Vince McMahon

Nearly a week after the firing of WWE Head Writer Jay Gibson, it has been revealed, that the actual reason that saw him axed, was his unsatisfactory performance at the company.

The Head Writer for Monday Night Raw was let go by the WWE, nearly a day after the release of 11 superstars on Thursday, last week. The reason behind Gibson’s firing was earlier speculated to be due to budgetary concerns.

His absence however, is unlikely to cause any major change in the WWE’s current storylines. Even though Gibson was the Head Writer, his actual role was to manage other writers, and not writing himself.

It is reported that Gibson knew very little about what works for professional wrestling and was at the post of Head Writer for a mere five months.
