Rumour: WWE planning to recreate Nation of Domination

Nation of Domination

Remember the time when The Rock was coming up through the WWE Attitude Era roster? If you do, then you would certainly recall the Nation of Domination faction when he was known as Rocky Maivia before becoming the Great One.

Since the debut of Alexander Rusev, he has been dominating the likes of R-Truth, Xavier Woods, & Kofi Kingston while there has been a feud building up against Big E.Langston. As Xavier Woods and Big E have hinted earlier, these four superstars may form a unit that could resemble the Nation of Domination faction.

Led by Farooq, this Attitude Era stable was formed in 1997 and they were loosely based on the concept of The Nation of Islam and The Black Panther Party. Their best time in the industry was during their involvement in a feud with the rebellious DX group. Over the next few months of its existence, The Rock steadily marched on his way to a spectacular career as he took control of the Nation of Domination and turned it into one of the major groups by 1998.

The group disbanded in October 1998, after The Rock, who was already a hot property in the WWE by then, was assaulted by fellow Nation members D’Lo Brown & Mark Henry.

It seems the WWE might consider revisiting those lanes as F4WOnline.com is reporting that there have been discussions going on backstage about the possible return of a similarly powerful faction.
