WWE renames a finishing move

The phenomenal one

– The phenomenal one has been one of the best wrestlers around and was a coveted free agent before joining the WWE.

Styles had the attention of a lot of promotions such as TNA and Ring of Honor before stepping foot into the WWE, but AJ Styles snubbed all of those offers and made his debut as the entrant number 3 at the Royal Rumble match during the Royal Rumble PPV.

AJ Styles had a brilliant showing at the Rumble and also performed on RAW against Chris Jericho in a very good match. Styles uses his two finishers – namely – the Styles Clash and the Calf Killer.

The WWE having shifted its rating to PG audiences had to tweak the name of one of the finishing moves. As the WWE could not use the word ‘Kill’, his finisher was renamed to the Calf Crusher instead of the Calf Killer.

One other superstar who had to change his tagline was Kevin Owens as he had fans chanting Kill Steen(Owens) Kill for him, which the WWE changed to Fight Owens Fight. It looks like the PG rating has been affecting major as well as the minor details in the WWE.
