Kevin Owens (C) vs Roman Reigns (for the WWE Universal Championship)
Kevin Owens was by far the more popular performer amongst the fans in attendance who greeted Roman Reigns with an outpouring of boos.
Owens rolled out of the ring as soon as the bell rang, taking his own sweet time. Owens rolled back into the ring, only to roll back out again.
Roman followed him out this time, hitting him with blows to the face before rolling Owens back in. Owens took Roman down with a headlock takedown before Roman slammed Owens down on the mat before driving him into the corner, forcing him to roll out again.

Roman met Owens at ringside and drove him into the barricade before taking the top off the German announcers’ table.
Owens attacked Reigns from behind at this point and rolled him back into the ring before hitting a trademark Senton. Roman hit back with multiple clotheslines as Owens rolled out again. Roman followed Owens, which turned out to be a bad idea.
Owens sent Roman throat-first into the barricade before driving him into the steel steps. He then got on the aforementioned steps and hit another Senton. Great start to the match.
Owens rolled Reigns back into the ring and it was time for chin lock city once again. He then hit a hangman neckbreaker before hitting an incredible somersault leg drop on Reigns before locking in another chin lock. Owens tried to follow it up with another Senton but Roman rolled away this time as both men crawled back up.
Roman regained his momentum again as he hit back at Owens with gusto. Both men then started trading forearms which Roman tried to follow up with a Samoan Drop but KO countered with a German Suplex. Owens tried to follow it up with a Cannonball but Reigns caught him with a beautiful Samoan Drop.
Reigns then signalled for the Superman Punch but Owens countered once again and hit a snap DDT. Owens then hit a cannonball which Roman immediately followed up with a Superman Punch, getting a 2-count with the ensuing cover.
The crowd started chanting “Roman sucks” at this point as Roman Reigns hit a running Superman Punch to Kevin Owens who was perched on the top rope. Owens, however, hit Roman with an incredible Fisherman Suplex from the top rope.
Owens then tried to hit a Swanton Bomb from the top rope but Roman met him with raised knees.
Reigns then signalled for the Superman Punch but KO rolled out. Reigns followed him and hit a Drive-By. Reigns went for a second one but KO met him with a huge boot. He then perched Roman onto the German announce table, hitting two Frog Splashes on him before the table broke.
Roman looked down and out but managed to crawl back into the ring with two seconds left for the count out.
Owens met him with another Frog Splash for the nearfall. Roman then got into his second wind as he caught Owens with an incredible Powerbomb for the nearfall. Not to be outdone, Owens hit back with a Pop-Up Powerbomb of his own and pinned Roman with Roman somehow getting his foot on the bottom rope to break the pin.
Owens then rolled to the outside with a sinister look on his face as he brought his title into the ring to hit Reigns in an attempt at getting disqualified. The referee stopped him and Reigns capitalised with a spear.
With both men down, Chris Jericho came out. He looked at the two downed men before hitting a Codebreaker on Kevin Owens.
This resulted in Reigns getting DQ-ed and in Owens retaining the title.
Result: Kevin Owens def. Roman Reigns by DQ
Owens and Jericho embraced after the match, which showed that Jericho was in cahoots with Owens all along. As they were leaving, Rollins’ music hit and Reigns hit Owens with a spear just as Rollins hit Jericho with a Pedigree. Reigns and Rollins then Powerbombed Jericho through the announce table.
Rollins and Reigns then followed Owens, who was trying to escape, before Powerbombing him through the announce table on the entrance ramp.
