The current WWE NXT Champion will defend his title against Akira Tozawa at the event after Cole was able to win the gold from Johnny Gargano at NXT Takeover New York.
Cole is also no stranger to EVOLVE, having made his debut for the promotion back in 2010. Cole made his EVOLVE debut at the EVOLVE 3: Rise Or Fall event, which took place on May 1st, 2010. Cole lost his debut match to current Impact Wrestling Superstar Sami Callihan, and Cole also made a name for himself in EVOLVE working with fellow NXT Superstar Johnny Gargano.
During his time in Dragon Gate USA, Adam Cole competed against current WWE United States Champion Ricochet, and Cole even faced his current Undisputed Era teammate Kyle O'Reilly.
