Could we see a title change?
Could we see a title change?

The Royal Rumble is on its way. The show is going to be amazing, as the match card is stacked with great bouts. From the Universal Championship to the WWE Championship, every big title is booked for the show.

Fans are also very excited for the Royal Rumble match, as the winner would be given a title shot at Wrestlemania. Many speculations have been made so far regarding the winner of this match but only time will who is going to win it.

This PPV has given many shocking moments to the WWE Universe, and there's no reason why this could not happen this year as well.

So without further ado, let's take a look at 5 possible shocks the WWE could present at yjr Royal Rumble.

#5 Seth Rollins doesn’t win the Royal Rumble match

Rollins should not win this match...
Rollins should not win this match...

A lot of fans have been expecting Seth Rollins to win this year's Royal Rumble match so that he could face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. However, I am not thinking like this, as in my opinion, this should not happen. Here's why.

The last two Royal Rumble matches were very predictable. In 2017, Orton won this match and in 2018, Nakamura won.

The problem is that the fans already knew the result of these two matches, and this is really bad. The Royal Rumble match is remembered for shocking the fans, and if this year as well something like this happens then, it will hurt the image of this PPV.

Even though Rollins may not win the Royal Rumble match, he could still challenge for the Universal Championship. Meanwhile, any other superstar could win this match.

#4 Asuka vs Becky Lynch steals the show

Asuka vs Lynch

Asuka and Becky Lynch are some of the best women in the WWE right now. Asuka recently won the Smackdown Women's Championship at the TLC pay-per-view, and it looks like she is going to have a great reign as a champion.

Some months ago, she had the longest winning streak in the modern era, but her streak broke when she lost her match against Charlotte at Wrestlemania 34. Then, she suffered many losses in big events, and it hurt her a lot.

Now, she will be facing Becky Lynch at the Royal Rumble, and it will her first title defence on a PPV, and the company should make it memorable. Lynch and Asuka can do the same by giving us a high profile match.

Both superstars have done this before then why not repeat the history again?

#3 Becky Lynch loses against Asuka but wins the Rumble match

Lynch should win the Royal Rumble
Lynch should win the Royal Rumble

It's been nearly a month since Asuka's title victory, and I don't think that she is going to lose her championship anytime soon. After providing an excellent match, she could defeat Lynch to gain some momentum. I know it will hurt Lynch's momentum, but the WWE could still cover it by letting her win the Women's Royal Rumble match.

There's also a strong reason to do that. If you remember, Lynch was going to face Ronda Rousey at the Survivor Series pay-per-view last year in a Champion vs Champion match but Nia Jax's mistake cost Lynch this match. Then Charlotte Flair faced Ronda Rousey instead of Lynch.

Now, the Man could win this match and challenge for the Raw Women's Championship. This way the WWE Universe could witness the dream match between these two. This is also a likely-to-happen prediction as the odds are also with Lynch this time.

#2 John Cena enters at #30 and wins the Royal Rumble

Will Cena become the 17 time champion?
Will Cena become the 17 time champion?

A few weeks ago, Dave Meltzer reported that John Cena isn't going to be participating at the Royal Rumble because he'll be busy shooting his upcoming film. However, John Cena confirmed his entrance in the Rumble match.

Last week, Braun Strowman ripped off Vince McMahon's car door, and then this cost him his Universal Championship match. Then, McMahon booked a fatal-4-way match between Baron Corbin, Cena, Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor.

Even though Balor won this match, Cena sustained an ankle injury. Now, his Royal Rumble appearance is in doubt, but this is where the WWE could shock the fans.

Maybe Cena isn't injured, and this is just a storyline for John Cena to win the Royal Rumble match.

It's possible because he is the 16 time World Champion in the WWE and with just one more title victory, he will make history. Cena can't wrestle a lot now because of his acting schedule, and maybe this is why the company could be planning to do this.

But, what was the point of the whole injury drama?

The WWE could be planning to shock the fans as they are currently reporting that Cena is injured. Plus, there also have been some rumours that R-truth isn't going to enter at the last spot in Royal Rumble.

#1 Finn Balor become the new Universal Champion

This will shock the world
This will shock the world

Two weeks ago on Raw, the WWE shocked the fans by pulling Strowman from the Universal Championship match and adding Finn Balor instead. Now, not only we are going to see a dream match between Balor and Brock Lesnar, but there are also chances for a title change.

Could we see Balor winning the Universal Championship? Well, there's no exact answer to this, but it would be shocking if this happens.

Balor is the first ever Universal Champion of the WWE but had to relinquish because of an injury. Not only did he not win his never lost title back but his career became stale as well.

A title change is possible in Royal Rumble, but it's still pretty unlikely.

Do you think Balor is going to win the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble? Have your say in the comments below…
