WWE made the historic announcement last year that the women of WWE would be given their first-ever Royal Rumble match and it appears that as an event, it went down quite well. Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut following the match that was won by Asuka, who later went on to be defeated by Charlotte at WrestleMania when she challenged her for the SmackDown Women's Championship.

This year, the company is looking to do it all again but after the legends that returned to the company as part of last year's show, they have their work cut out to ensure that there are still a number of surprises for the WWE Universe, who have already decided which superstar they want to win the match.

There are a number of combustible elements in this match, which means there are already many potential finishes.

#5 Becky Lynch wins The Rumble

Right now all of the rumours seem to be pointing to the same scenario, Becky Lynch is unable to reclaim her SmackDown Women's Championship at The Royal Rumble, so she enters The Rumble match later in the night and is then able to outlast 29 other women to book her place against Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania.

Lynch is looking for revenge after Rousey cost her The Championship back at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs and this would be the perfect way for her to get it. Both women have been building up a match on WWE TV and Social Media since their Survivor Series bout was cancelled back in November and the WWE Universe have already accepted that this could well be the first ever Women's WrestleMania main event.

#4 An NXT Superstar is given a shot

The Women's Royal Rumble seems much more predictable this year than it was last year since many fans believe that Becky Lynch already has the win locked down, but what if WWE has a huge shock up their sleeve.

The company certainly has a lot of women from NXT at their disposal right now, with the likes of Lacey Evans and Nikki Cross recently being promoted from developmental, while Kairi Sane has already proved her worth as part of last year's Women's Rumble match and Bianca Belair will be in Phoenix that weekend.

This means that any one of these women could be shocking additions to the match and shock victors. After all, Vince McMahon did promise a New Era and that could include many new faces being pushed forward.

#3 A legend is the shock winner

The Royal Rumble is one of the best events of the year because it's often seen as so unpredictable. The match itself always includes some shock additions and more often than not it has been these stars who have prevailed and then gone on to main event WrestleMania.

The likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, Michelle McCool, Ivory, and even Molly Holly are all expected to be part of the Rumble next weekend and any one of those women could step up to face Ronda Rousey or Asuka at WrestleMania.

WWE has a number of options when it comes to a Rumble winner this year and hopefully, it comes as a huge shock to the WWE Universe, who already believe that the Women's Rumble is the most predictable match of the night and it also allows one of the biggest female legends in the company to be able to have one last Mania moment.

#2 Ronda Rousey interferes

Ronda Rousey made her debut at last year's Royal Rumble and many of the women who were part of the first ever 30-woman rumble match stated that the former UFC Champion had officially stolen their spotlight after years of asking that the company pushed the women forward.

Rousey is the current Raw Women's Champion and depending on what order WWE decides to have the card, her match with Nia Jax could happen before The Rumble which would allow Lynch to interfere and Rousey to then look for some revenge in the Rumble match.

Rumble matches have had interference many times before, but it would be interesting to see the outcome if the Champion goes looking for Lynch as part of the match itself, especially since Charlotte could be the woman who is able to take advantage.

#1 Charlotte And Becky Lynch are joint winners

Charlotte and Becky Lynch have both had run-ins with Ronda Rousey over the past few months and were both targetted by the former UFC Champion at TLC when she cost them the Women's Championship.

The rumoured match for WrestleMania is reported to involve both Charlotte and Becky Lynch, which could be why many theories now push forward the idea that Lynch and Flair could eliminate each other from the match and instead be made joint winners.

This has happened before and it could easily happen again but it would be the worst-case scenario for many members of the WWE Universe who want Becky Lynch to face Ronda Rousey in a one-on-one match at WrestleMania instead. This is thought to be the most predictable finish of the night, but hopefully, WWE has some surprises up their sleeve.
