A handful of WWE Superstars have asked for their release lately but WWE have not granted it to anyone. Luke Harper, Mike Kanellis, The Revival, Oney Lorcan and Sin Cara are among the Superstars who have asked for their release from the company, although no decision has been made yet.

Speaking on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said:
"There’s a school of thought that all these guys that want to leave are there that aren’t happy and they are really not, that it just kind of like hurts morale, and it’s just better to let them go. But they are not letting them go. I know people who have argued to let people go. But they are not letting them go still. So until they do, you know all these guys be quiet, it’s easy for me to say."
Tye Dillinger was released earlier this year and he ended up joining All Elite Wrestling. That is something WWE are reportedly trying to avoid and thus, no releases have been granted.
