#2. WWE Superstar sent back to NXT
Brendan Vink took to his Twitter handle to announce that he would be returning to WWE NXT under his new name, Tony Modra. The moniker seems to be an ode to Anthony 'Tony' Modra, an Australian rules football player.
Brendan Vink wrestled for various promotions, starting from 2008 before he signed with the WWE in 2019. The Australian professional wrestler reported to the WWE Performance Center, and he made his in-ring debut for the company at an NXT house show in March 2019.
He made his televised NXT debut in the same month by teaming up with Shane Thorne, collectively known as TM-61.
Thorne and Vink began appearing on Monday Night RAW in March 2020, and they were paired up with MVP.
It did look like the WWE planned on having a faction with MVP as the leader. However, WWE pulled the plug on the angle, and both Thorne and Vink were taken off RAW without any explanation.
While Thorne has joined RETRIBUTION as Slapjack, Brendam Vink will start from square one on the Black-and-Gold brand as Tony Modra going forward.
