#3. Possible WrestleMania 36 plans for Brock Lesnar
There just can't be a WrestleMania show these days without a marquee Brock Lesnar match. Next year's Showcase of the Immortals, which is scheduled to take place in Florida on April 5th, will also have a big match featuring the Beast Incarnate.
Dave Meltzer opened up about the possible WrestleMania plans for Lesnar on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio.
During the mailbag section of the WOR, a fan asked whether there was the possibility of seeing Kevin Owens finally take on Lesnar at WrestleMania.
Meltzer stated that Lesnar vs. Owens will not happen, before stating that the company will lock up the Beast Incarnate's WrestleMania opponent next month.
He speculated that Lesnar could end up facing Bray Wyatt at the show of shows, even though they are on different shows and currently hold the world titles of their respective brands.
Meltzer said:
"Not a chance (laughs). I don’t think it’s going to be Brock vs. Kevin Owens, no. The one thing is that with Brock, see we’re in November, they will pretty much have Brock’s match locked up in the next month.
"You know Brock’s stuff, because of Paul, because of Brock, and because of Vince, it is always well planned out in advance. And we should see hints of whatever it is pretty soon.
"I’m still thinking it might be Bray Wyatt. Although they are in different brands, so maybe that’s out of the question, but maybe it’s not, and even if it is out of the question today, it may not be out of the question in a month. If ratings go down, you know, what decision would they make at that point?"
The Beast Incarnate vs. The Fiend at WrestleMania 36? How does that sound?
