WWE Rumors: Bella Twins not expected to be part of Royal Rumble?
What's the story?
The Bella Twins haven't been seen on WWE TV since Evolution where Nikki Bella main evented against Ronda Rousey. It was thought that the two women would be back for this weekend's Royal Rumble, but that may not be the case.
In case you didn't know...
Nikki Bella and Brie Bella have been a huge part of the Women's Revolution in recent years, but the two women have now become focused on their career outside of the company, which is why they haven't been mentioned on WWE TV in recent months.
Brie Bella hasn't been the same caliber of Superstar since her return, so it's likely that she has opted not to return to the company for this weekend's show, after recently revealing her struggle with depression following her botch on Liv Morgan in the summer of 2018.
The heart of the matter
The Bella Twins were expected to be part of the women's Royal Rumble match this weekend since the event takes place in Phoenix which is in the Bellas' home state of Arizona.
Interestingly, The Wrestling Observer noted that the two former Divas Champions are not expected to be part of the show this weekend since there have been no updates on the two women over the past few weeks. [H/T Ringsidenews]
“The Bella Twins also aren’t announced, nor have they been talked about in recent months.”
The Women's Royal Rumble match takes place this weekend as part of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view and there are a number of women expected to make their returns including Victoria, Melina, Michelle McCool, and Layla.
