WWE Rumors: Big post-WrestleMania feud for AJ Styles revealed

What's the story?

WrestleMania is usually the show where it's assumed that feuds are blown-off and come to a conclusion. For many rivalries, it is the culmination of a much longer and bigger storyline. However, there are some exceptions, where WrestleMania is used as a catalyst to begin other feuds.

Similar to last year, it seems like AJ Styles' feud against Randy Orton isn't going to end at WrestleMania 35, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

In case you didn't know...

Last year, AJ Styles was in a marquee WrestleMania match-up, where he walked into WrestleMania 34 defending the WWE Championship against Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura.

Dubbed as a dream match, it didn't necessarily live up to expectations, but that was done by design, because the match, which Styles won, was a catalyst for Shinsuke Nakamura's heel turn.

Rather than ending the feud, the rivalry had just begun, and it extended all the way up until Money in the Bank, where AJ Styles put away Nakamura in a Last Man Standing match. He would hold the WWE Championship until November, where he dropped it to Daniel Bryan.

After the Royal Rumble and then Elimination Chamber, Styles' pursuit of the WWE Championship had come to an end, with Kofi Kingston emerging as the new challenger. Styles, meanwhile, began a feud against Randy Orton.

The heart of the matter

The Wrestling Observer reports that AJ Styles' feud against Randy Orton isn't necessarily blowing off at WrestleMania 35, but rather, it's only going to be the start of the feud.

This likely means that we're going to see a trilogy of sorts. Right now, people are predicting AJ Styles to win the WrestleMania match because Randy Orton stood tall at the go-home show.

It'll be interesting if the feud does continue because even though the build consisted of all but 2-3 promos, it's been a rather solid and straightforward one.
