WWE creative has big plans for Braun Strowman in the months leading up to Summerslam. According to recent rumours from Cagesideseats.com, WWE is planning to have Strowman face Brock Lesnar in the coming months. The match will feature Strowman taking on Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship

Braun Strowman has been at his destructive best since Wrestlemania, laying waste to the ‘Big Dog’ Roman Reigns. Stroman viciously attacked Roman last week on RAW and tipped over an ambulance. Roman was in the middle of an interview with Michael Cole when Strowman found him and tossed the former Champion like a rag doll.
The angle was meant to portray Strowman as a heel, but it might have got him over as a babyface given the heat Roman has received since he beat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 33.
The heart of the matter
Strowman is one of the WWE Superstars that benefitted greatly from the brand split. He was pushed as a monster heel and has found himself edging closer to the main event picture. Despite a dismal show at Wrestlemania, Strowman has been an unstoppable force.
Roman Reigns was one of the few unlucky Superstars to feel the wrath of Strowman. Braun lived up to his moniker of ‘New Face of Destruction’ when he ravaged Roman Reigns throughout the locker room area.
The angle has brought Strowman in the good books of WWE management. He is now poised for a main event push against the reigning Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and it is speculated that this.

Meltzer reported that WWE Payback would feature a match between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman to decide the number one contender for the Universal Championship.

Strowman has been one of the most improved wrestlers over the past year. His feuds with the likes of Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns have brought out the best version of his character.
He has shown that he can have a good wrestling match with just about anyone. A main event push for Strowman might indeed be a good idea to restore some his credibility.
