What's the story?
In what is one of the most baffling bits of news, PWInsider has reported that both Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar carried replica title belts to RAW. Thanks to Wrestling Inc. for providing us with a close up look at the titles.
Brock Lesnar was ringside on RAW when his Royal Rumble opponent Finn Balor took on Braun Strowman in a singles match. Ronda Rousey participated in the main event match where she teamed up with Natalya to take on Sasha Banks and Bayley in her very first loss.
In case you didn't know...
This week of RAW was the go home show before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Brock Lesnar was on the show in a rare appearance to promote his title match against Finn Balor.
Lesnar and Rousey both carried their titles to the ring. Only they weren't the original titles that they so proudly hold as Champions. Let me try and elaborate on the same in the following section.
The heart of the matter
WWE always has more than one copy of each of their titles in the rare case of a goof up. The fact that these titles were handed out as backups means that the titles may have been forgotten at home.
Another possibility that has been brought up on PWInsider is that the wrong belt may have been handed to them by WWE. Here's a close look at both of the belts that made their way to TV in the most recent episode of RAW from Oklahoma:
