WWE Rumors: Closing match for Elimination Chamber possibly revealed?

What's the story?

According to the folks at Fightful.com, the WWE Superstars were informed earlier on in the afternoon that the Women's Tag Team Elimination Chamber would close the show. However, it seems as though Vince McMahon is going in a different, but traditional, direction.

Plans can change at a moments notice. Therefore it's no surprise that WWE is going back and forth on which match-up should close out tonight's show.

In case you didn't know...

The WWE has been going back and forth on deciding which Elimination Chamber will close the show tonight. Many fans speculated the Women's Tag Team Title match would close the show, as it would be a historic match for the Women's Division and therefore would serve a big level of importance for the division.

The heart of the matter

It was widely expected that the historic Women's Tag Team Elimination Chamber would close the show.

However, it seems as though plans have now changed and that we will be seeing the WWE Championship match close the show, a decision made apparently by Vince McMahon himself. The feeling behind this last minute decision change is that Vince believes there will not be enough of a positive response if they would put the Women's Tag Elimination Chamber match on last, mostly by social media.

It's a minute-by-minute change, so, therefore, anything can literately happen between now and showtime.

What's next?

WWE Elimination Chamber will take place in less than an hour, starting at 6 pm (EST) on the WWE Network with the kickoff show. The official event will start at 7 pm (EST). The event will be headlined by two Elimination Chamber matches, one to crown the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Champions while the other will determine who will walk in as the WWE Champion heading into WrestleMania 35.
