WWE Rumors: Dean Ambrose considered to be lazy by WWE officials

The Miz took Monday Night RAW by storm when he fired shots at the Intercontinental Champion on his talk show

What’s the story?

On the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed the implications of the Miz’s promo on Dean Ambrose. The Miz took Monday Night RAW by storm when he fired shots at the Intercontinental Champion on his talk show, Miz TV, calling him lazy and complacent.

In case you didn’t know...

The Miz and Dean Ambrose moved to Monday Night RAW during the Superstar Shakeup. Dean being the reigning Intercontinental Champion, brought the prestigious title to the red brand leading to Kevin Owens moving to the blue brand with the United States Championship.

Two of the biggest names on SmackDown LIVE, The Miz, and Dean Ambrose have returned to the flagship show and are in the middle of a brewing rivalry.

The heart of the matter

The Miz was in his element when he incited Dean Ambrose on RAW. He reminded Dean that he lost all that momentum and ended up on the pre-show of Wrestlemania despite being the first draft pick and being the WWE Champion heading into Summerslam.

The Miz went on to say that despite the overwhelming support he receives, he was never able to shatter the glass ceiling because he was lazy.

Dave Meltzer stated that when some particular statements are used in a promo, it is because somebody feels that it is the truth. He concluded that someone in the WWE management feels that Ambrose has become complacent about his position in the company.

What’s next?

Ambrose has been building up a steady rivalry with the Miz since the two Superstars moved to Monday Night RAW. The events of last Monday point to a clash at the upcoming pay-per-view, Payback.

However, there has not been any official announcement, but it is certain that the Miz will challenge for the Intercontinental Championship at the pay-per-view.

Author's take

This is not the first time that Dean has been accused of being lazy. Earlier last year, Stone Cold Steve Austin told Ambrose that he gave off a vibe that he had already achieved a lot in the WWE, and was not doing enough to stay relevant.

Ambrose has put on decent matches but the all of them have missed the spark that was needed to make the crowd go berserk. Ambrose is a talented worker, and if there are indeed such allegations against him, he has the capability to make things right again.
