What’s the story?

The Dean Ambrose contract situation is well known to the WWE Universe but nobody really knows if it is really a work or the actual situation. Wrestling Observer have an update on the situation and claim that superstars backstage are confident that the Lunatic Fringe will be re-signing with the company.

In case you didn’t know…

Rumours spread last month that Dean Ambrose was set to leave WWE after WrestleMania. He had reportedly informed the officials and management that he was not going to renew his contract.

WWE issued a statement within hours and confirmed that the Lunatic Fringe was indeed leaving the company. However, instead of putting the situation to bed, the whole new angle that it is all a 'work' emerged.

The heart of the matter

WON's Bryan Alvarez has not still confirmed what the actual situation is but made it clear that superstars backstage are now sure that Dean Ambrose is going nowhere.

Roman Reigns brought up the situation as well when he opened Monday Night RAW tonight. He stated that he wanted The Shield back one last time and to convince Seth Rollins to get the band back together, he used the contract situation to get his way.

Reigns said, “I have no clue what's going on with him. I don't know if he is coming and going, to what he's doing. All I know is that he's making headlines and I know I want one more moment with my brothers before we may not be around anymore.”

What’s next?

The Shield is reportedly set to reunite at Fastlane to take on Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin. However, it will be interesting to see how they include Elias in the match as he has been the one attacking Ambrose for the last two weeks.
