What's the story?

SI.com has reported (via Cagesidesets.com) that Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey, for the RAW Women's Championship is scheduled to main event WWE WrestleMania 35.

While Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar, for the Universal Championship will also be billed as the main event during the build-up, it most likely will not close the show.

There are rumours suggesting that Charlotte Flair may be added to the RAW Women's Championship match making it a triple threat. In any case, this will be the first time that a women's match will headline the grand show.

In case you didn't know...

The feud between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch began ahead of their scheduled match at Survivor Series which could not take place due to Lynch suffering a broken "face" at the hands of Nia Jax.

Rousey then faced Flair at Survivor Series which ended in a DQ after The Queen attacked Ronda Rousey mercilessly, making her a part of the feud.

Becky Lynch won the 2019 Women's Royal Rumble match and has chosen to face The Baddest Woman on the Planet for her championship at WrestleMania.

The heart of the matter

Becky Lynch is by far the most over Superstar on the roster - male or female, and it will make perfect sense for her fairytale story to come to conclusion at the main event of WrestleMania 35.

While Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar will also be a show stealer, the buzz around Rousey and Lynch far outweighs that for the Universal Championship match.

What's next?

WM35 will take place on April 7, 2019, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. While only two matches have been made official as of now, we are on the road to Wrestlemania and can expect a lot of big matches to be announced in the coming weeks.
