WWE Rumors: Kurt Angle and The Big Show have signed with one of the biggest talent agencies in Los Angeles

Angle and Show are ready to move on

What’s the story?

According to a report from Deadline, Kurt Angle and The Big Show have signed talent deals with Agency for the Performing Arts. Both men will look to branch out into other avenues, as their professional wrestling careers wind down.

In case you didn’t know...

The current general manager of Monday Night Raw, Kurt Angle, has a number of acting credits to his name. He most recently made a guest appearance on Those Who Can’t, which is a TV series that airs on TruTv.

The Big Show, on the other hand, has some very notable TV credits. He made appearances on Psych and Burn Notice, both of which were prominent shows on the USA Network.

The heart of the matter

Kurt Angle and The Big Show are 48 and 45 years old, respectively. It is no exaggeration to say that their days as full-time members of the WWE roster are numbered. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that both men are looking to expand their horizons.

Agency for the Performing Arts is one of the biggest talent agencies in Los Angeles. This association could open new doors for both Angle and Show.

What’s next?

As things stand, Kurt Angle is the General Manager of Monday Night Raw, and he is set to be a regular on WWE programming.

However, history suggests that General Managers have a limited shelf life. In fact, there is already speculation that this role could build towards the Olympic Gold Medalist’s retirement match at WrestleMania 34.

The Big Show has said that his current contract expires before the thirty-fourth edition of the Show of Shows, and there is no indication that a new deal is in the works.

Author’s take

The success of The Rock and John Cena, to a lesser extent, has made it easier for professional wrestlers to crossover into mainstream entertainment. Kurt Angle and The Big Show are both versatile performers, and they should have no trouble moving into the next stage of their careers.
