WWE Rumors: Raw writers told to 'think outside the box' for tonight's episode of Raw

Another attempt to bring up ratings may be in the works for tonight's Raw.
Another attempt to bring up ratings may be in the works for tonight's Raw.

What's the story?

According to a report from WrestleVotes, Raw writers have been told to 'think outside of the box' when it comes to scripting tonight's episode of Raw.

In case you missed it . . .

Finn Balor and Bayley and Sasha Banks both won titles at last night's Elimination Chamber PPV. They'll both be featured tonight, as will the rest of the Superstars who were involved in various ways at the PPV.

WWE is still trying to improve its ratings with WrestleMania season in full swing. Last night's fabulous PPV might help with that.

The heart of the matter

WrestleVotes tweeted the news earlier today about what direction Raw might take on tonight's Elimination Chamber fall-out episode of Raw.

A lot of fall-out from the Elimination Chamber will be addressed on Raw tonight, including Bayley and Sasha Banks winning the inaugural Women's Tag Team titles, as well as Finn Balor pinning Lio Rush to capture the Intercontinental Championship from Bobby Lashley.

Lashley destroyed Rush before leaving the ring, but he also aided Baron Corbin in his No DQ match against Braun Strowman. Lashley, Corbin and Drew McIntyre all took part in power bombing Strowman through two tables stacked on top of each other.

After Ronda Rousey defeated Ruby Riot to retain the Raw Women's Title, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair all attacked each other.

Since Lynch is still technically 'suspended', what it will mean for her will also likely be addressed tonight.

What's next?

In terms of a satisfying PPV, Elimination Chamber delivered on the Raw side of things and overall for the most part.

Finn Balor was finally given another title, but for how long is unknown. Hopefully he won't simply lose it on Raw.

And regarding Bayley and Sasha Banks, they have been the sentimental favorites to be the first Women's Tag Team champions, so another team is likely to get in their faces tonight.

Even though Lynch has been suspended by Vince McMahon for 60 days, she's appeared on almost every Raw since the suspension and appeared last night on crutches to confront Flair and Rousey.

Will she be suspended longer or rewarded or punished even more severely for her constant disregard for the rules? Thinking outside the box isn't usually WWE's things, but the foundations are there to do so.
