WWE Rumors: Reason why Braun Strowman's ambulance stunt involving Roman Reigns was impossible

Braun Strowman tipped over a full-sized ambulance on Monday Night RAW.

What’s the story?

Braun Strowman flipped a full-sized ambulance on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, after attacking Roman Reigns, in what appears to be a pre-recorded segment. As we had previously reported, Reigns seemed to have made an exit before the ambulance was toppled over.

Fitness website BarBend have roped in former professional strongman athlete and coach Michael Gill to analyse the aforementioned stunt.

In case you didn’t know...

Braun Strowman’s attack on Roman Reigns has gone viral on the internet, with the YouTube, video already having received more than 5 million views at the time of this writing.

The heart of the matter

The website has stated that the aforementioned feat would only be possible if gravity didn’t exist. Michael Gill who has competed as a pro-strongman in the past, and has had to flip cars during his competition days, gave his take on Strowman’s feat of strength:

“There is no way a human could flip an ambulance. The amount of force necessary could be calculated by a physicist, but it would be crazy. Given the fact that most of them are also designed to not flip on their side during high speed driving would also make it a more daunting task.”

Furthermore, he revealed that although car-flipping has been a part of strongman competitions in the past, it’s impossible for an individual human being to achieve Strowman’s stunt.

“There was a World’s Strongest Man where I believe they had to do three. I don’t think a record for a car flip currently exists and I haven’t seen it in a contest since I did it a decade ago.”

What’s next?

The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman was initially set to face Roman Reigns in a potential number-1 contender matchup for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Universal Championship. However, Reigns seems to be injured and with Lesnar not scheduled to fight at this month’s Payback PPV, Strowman doesn’t have an opponent for the event...for now.

Author’s take

Unless you’ve never stepped foot inside a gym or haven’t cared to learn the basics of weight-lifting, you must have already figured that Strowman’s ambulance flip was a work by the WWE.

An average ambulance weighs around 10,000-14,000 pounds and also has modified hydraulics in order to prevent it from flipping over on its side during high-speed drives.

Considering that, no matter how strong Strowman may be, he is after all, human and just like the rest of us- bound by the laws of gravity. And no, not even pro-strongman champions have pulled off such a feat in the past.
