WWE Rumors: Nia Jax or Bayley could join the main event scene

What lies next for the Raw Women's Main Event scene after Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte comes to a close?

Which of the Raw women will challenge next for the title

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletterthere are two possibilities for the next Raw Women’s Championship feud – Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax or Charlotte vs. Bayley.

While it is unclear who is going to come out on top of the historic feud, Meltzer said that there is a higher chance of Charlotte becoming a four-time Women’s Champion. This is because she still has an undefeated streak in Championship matches on Pay-Per-Views and that is something WWE has been playing off of, for the past few months.

Meltzer also stated that the original plan for Roadblock: End Of The Line was to have Charlotte vs. Bayley for the Women’s Championship. However, plans changed and they decided to have a full-fledged blow-off match at Roadblock: End Of The Line.

Prior to Survivor Series, Bayley was consistently getting one up over Charlotte. When the Survivor Series team members (and Dana Brooke) faced each other, Bayley pinned Dana Brooke, further staking her claim for a shot against then-champion Charlotte.

The same night also saw a tease of a Sasha Banks-Nia Jax feud. After Sasha quickly dropped the title at Hell In A Cell, it was reported that the reason for the prompt title change was that WWE saw more prospective feuds for Charlotte with the title than Sasha Banks. However, the title changed hands once again on November 28th in the main event of Raw:

The historic feud between Sasha Banks and Charlotte has been going on for the past five and a half months. It is a nod to the long-term storytelling that Stephanie McMahon claimed there was going to be after the brand split. However, there has been some criticism from the fans over the constant switch of the championship between each other.
