What's the story?

Not long ago, we learned that Roman Reigns would be part of the 'Hobbs and Shaw' spinoff movie of 'The Fast and The Furious'. Currently, there are a lot of rumours circulating as to whether or not Roman Reigns will actually be a part of the Royal Rumble, coming our way this weekend.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider provided a rumour killer in a PWInsider audio update. Thanks to Wrestlingnews.co for the update.

In case you didn't know...

Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam to become the Universal Champion. Unfortunately, he had to relinquish the Championship owing to leukaemia.

And yet, there have been many theories circulating about his recovery process. Some of them are so optimistic that they speculated that Reigns may even be a part of the Royal Rumble.

The rumour was nipped in the bud by veteran journalist Mike Johnson.

The heart of the matter

Johnson said there were never any plans of bringing Reigns to attend the Royal Rumble. So all the rumours about him being at the Royal Rumble were little more than rumours:

A couple of names that we have talked about, primarily Roman Reigns… I am told Roman Reigns will not be there this weekend. He was never involved with any creative plans.

Mike Johnson went on to say that Reigns is in Hawaii at the moment, so the possibility of him making an appearance is negligible. He continued thus:

We are told he’s actually in Hawaii so he’s not going to be physically at the Royal Rumble…All signs are Roman Reigns will not be at the Royal Rumble this weekend in any way shape or form.

What's next?

Roman Reigns is recovering well, from every indication. Send in your best wishes to him in the comments. Let's hope that he can bounce back into the ring someday soon.
