Bray Wyatt has been one of the most prominent Superstars on WWE programming ever since he made his return to television as the host of ‘Firefly Fun House’ after WrestleMania 35.

His new alter-ego, “The Fiend”, is among the most popular acts in the company right now, hence why the unique character won the Universal Championship from Seth Rollins within three months of his in-ring debut.

According to Wrestling News Co’s Paul Davis, Vince McMahon was "not fully sold" on Wyatt during his alliance with Matt Hardy and his time as the Wyatt Family leader, but he "really likes" the ‘Firefly Fun House’ segments and he came up with the idea to have “The Fiend” wrestle under red lights.

Davis added that a source close to WWE’s creative process has told him that Wyatt is in line to be involved in one of the main events at WrestleMania 36 in April 2020, and the current plan is for “The Fiend” to not lose via pinfall until WWE finds the right person to eventually beat him.

What’s next for “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt?

After earning a debut victory over Finn Balor at SummerSlam, “The Fiend” became involved in what turned out to be a highly controversial rivalry with Seth Rollins.

The Hell in a Cell main event between the two rivals came to an abrupt halt when the referee decided to end the match as a no contest after Rollins used a sledgehammer on his opponent.

Later in October, “The Fiend” defeated Rollins at Crown Jewel to win the Universal Championship for the first time in his career, and he is currently preparing to defend the title against Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series.
