What's the story?

As per Wrestling Observer Radio, as reported by Cage Side Seats, it is being reported that the reason WWE had so many NXT call-ups this past week on RAW and SmackDown was that Vince McMahon believes the current product is "stale" and that the current roster will never become Superstars.

If true, these are very harsh words used by The Chairman and certainly can not be good for the morale backstage.

In case you didn't know...

Vince McMahon, who is the chairman of WWE, returned as an on-screen character a few months back after Baron Corbin and Paige were removed as the General Managers for RAW and SmackDown respectively, and the McMahon family took charge of both the shows.

The Family promised that they will do their best to initiate the changes that the WWE Universe has been asking for and will make the fans the true authority.

While the product certainly has improved in the past few weeks, it looks like The Top Boss is still not happy.

The heart of the matter

This past week we saw the NXT call-up for a multitude of NXT stars including Aleister Black, Johny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, and Ricochet.

While Ricochet, Gargano and Black might be officially added to the roster, Ciampa holds the NXT Championship right now, so it is unlikely that he will be a regular on the main show going forward.

While the addition of these stars is great for the main roster, it would certainly weaken the NXT product unless these Superstars pull double duty.

What's next?

With Wrestlemania season in full swing, it will be interesting to see which Superstars Vince McMahon decides to push from the main roster.

Do you think this was the right time for the main roster debut for these NXT Superstars? Tell us in the comments!
