Mauro Ranallo and Corey Graves have managed to grab all the headlines in a week that had Survivor Series. That should tell you a lot about the seriousness of the issue.

In case you don't know what happened, to put it in a nutshell, Mauro Ranallo has been absent from WWE TV ever since he took offence to a tweet put out by Corey Graves.

Tom Colohue spoke about the unfortunate incident on the latest episode of Sportskeeda's Dropkick DiSKussions with host Korey Gunz.

The possibility of WWE taking action against Graves was brought up by Korey, to which Tom replied by stating that Mauro is quite a popular person in NXT and that he has enough people on his side to ensure that the company takes some action against Graves.

However, even if WWE does punish Graves, the WWE Universe may never get to publicly see the effects of it. WWE is known to take the low-key route especially in delicate cases such as this. It was also added that WWE may not even take any action.

Colohue even explained why, instead of being reprimanded, Graves should be educated about Ranallo's mental health struggles.

Here's what Tom had to say about WWE potentially punishing Graves:

"Mauro is a very popular person. I am confident that there are enough people in his corner, at least in NXT, to ensure that action will be taken. However, this is the WWE, whatever action is taken, even if there is no action, we are unlikely to see it. It’s unlikely to be visible, and to be fair, I think in this instance, education is the answer. I think Corey needs the opportunity to learn a bit more about the suffering that Mauro is going through and I think that will stand him in good stead. So to help him understand, rather than punish him."

Graves posted the following tweet in which he took a shot at Ranallo's commentary work during NXT Takeover: WarGames.

Graves did issue an apology of sorts on WWE's After The Bell podcast, however, the fans don't seem to be convinced.

While the entire situation looks to have cooled down, Ranallo was absent from the most recent episode of NXT and we're still not sure what the future has in store for the two WWE commentators.

Will WWE take action against Graves? Will Ranallo be back in the NXT commentary booth? All we can do now is to wait for the answers.
