WWE Rumors: Top women's wrestler to be soon released from WWE

All lined up for the firing squad

For the past few years, WWE has adopted the policy of ‘Spring Cleaning’. Around April/May of the year, several wrestlers or people associated with the company are released from their duties. Mostly inactive wrestlers are removed from the roster during this ‘purging’.

This year, on 6th May, WWE released eight superstars from the roster. The list includes former Money in the Bank contract winner Damien Sandow, former United States Champion Santino Marella, Brooklyn Brawler, Cameron, Zeb Colter, Alex Riley, El Torito and the last Cruiserweight Champion Hornswoggle. The 2015 King of the Ring, Bad News Barrett asked for his release from the company which was granted on the same day.

Now cagesideseats.com has reported that a top women’s wrestler may be released in the near future. It is only a rumor as of now. Also, no confirmation has been recieved about who is going to be that female competitor.

In other news, Damien Sandow, Alex Riley and Zeb Colter are already confirmed for some future events of Global Force Wrestling which is run by former WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett. Sandow, known as a popular undercard wrestler will be making his first apperance in a independent wrestling event on June 11.
