What’s the story?

Becky Lynch has two matches set for Money in the Bank later this month, but that's not where WWE's plans for her end right now. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has an exciting update regarding The Man.

He reports that WWE have already made plans for her match at WrestleMania 36 itself! He also states that the WrestleMania 36 match is the reason WWE are going ahead with Becky vs Charlotte Flair at MITB this month.

In case you didn’t know…

Becky Lynch won the RAW and SmackDown Live women's titles at WrestleMania 35 this year. She defeated then Monday Night Raw champion, Ronda Rousey and then SmackDown Live champion, Charlotte Flair.

Though the match was the first time women main evented WrestleMania, it will be remembered by the WWE Universe for its botched finish. Becky had Rousey pinned, but replays showed that the then RAW Champion had her shoulders up. The referee did not see that and made the three count.

The heart of the matter

Becky Lynch is now expected to carry the two championships for the foreseeable future. There were talks of unifying the titles, but it looks like WWE are still undecided on that.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that The Man is expected to head into WrestleMania 36 as the top women. Meltzer also says that the WrestleMania 36 match for Becky Lynch is not going to be against Charlotte Flair.

Becky vs Flair was reportedly WWE's initial plan for WrestleMania 36, but with the botched finish, plans have changed. While Charlotte is out of the picture, Rousey isn't. If the former UFC champion decides to return, WON report that she will get a match vs Becky for sure.

What’s next?

Becky takes on Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair in 2 different matches at MITB this month for the RAW and SmackDown Live Women's titles respectively.
