What's the story?

As per Slice Wrestling(via Cagesideseats.com), WWE is in talks with Batista about a major match for Wrestlemania 35.

In case you didn't know...

Dave Bautista, better known as Batista in the world of WWE is a former multi-time World Champion and is also a former Royal Rumble winner.

Batista was part of WWE from 2002-2010, after which he took a sabbatical from wrestling to pursue a career in MMA and Hollywood. While his career in MMA never really took off, Bautista was able to make a name for himself in the land of movies, especially as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.

Batista returned to WWE in 2013, winning the Royal Rumble but left again after a brief stint with the company.

Batista returned once again in October 2018, for the 1000th episode of SmackDown as part of the Evolution stable reunion along with Triple H, Ric Flair, and Randy Orton.

The heart of the matter

On the 1000th episode of SmackDown live, WWE teased tension between Batista and Triple H when the former taunted the latter saying that Triple H had never been able to defeat Batista. This altercation led to speculation that the two former teammates turned rivals might clash again at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

However, with Triple H out with injury, the match between the two might not happen. So, it remains to be seen who WWE will choose as the former WWE Champion's opponent for Wrestlemania if they are planning a "major match" for the Blade Runner star.

What's next?

A good idea for Batista could be a match against The Monster Among Men as it will help Batista put over Braun Strowman and deliver a classic heavyweight bout between the two big men.
