Eric Young recently made a surprise debut in NXT against Samoa Joe. His debut in NXT was a huge surprise to the wrestling world as Young has not signed a contract with WWE at that time. Even now, Young has still not signed a contract with WWE and a wrestler to work the main event yet not being signed with the company is really one of the odd moments that could happen in WWE.
According to Meltzer, Eric Young is almost ‘in’ and we can expect to see him appear on NXT a lot more. Eric Young will become a familiar face NXT audience once the brand split happens. It looks like Eric Young is waiting for the brand split to occur and NXT talents to be called up to the main roster before making his presence felt in NXT.
Recently, Bobby Roode made his in-ring debut and has been working Live Event around the world. With Young coming in, WWE is more likely to reform the Roode and Young tag team that flourished in TNA. Nevertheless of WWE’s plans, it will be exciting to watch both Roode and Young wrestle in a WWE ring either as a team or in singles competition.
