WWE Rumours: James Ellsworth on the verge of signing full-time WWE contract

WWE fans may see more of Ellsworth in the days to come

In a matter of weeks, James Ellsworth has become one of the most popular members of the SmackDown Live roster. However, the reason for this is less about his skills in the ring and more about the comic relief he has provided.

As it turns out, though, Ellsworth may be in for some serious business in the days to come, as he is most likely going to sign a full-time contract with the WWE. The 31-year old gave indications of this possibility through a post on his Facebook account.

James Ellsworth stated in the post that he was thankful for the requests that he was getting for independent bookings, but he would no longer be taking up any of them. He said that his last appearance for now on the indy circuit, would be at Altoona, PA tomorrow and thanked people for their love and support.

Ellsworth’s comments on Facebook makes it quite obvious that his WWE engagements are about to advance to a higher level, despite the fact that we haven’t heard anything from the company about it, just yet.

Having recently got involved in the feud between WWE World Champion AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose, he had managed to pull off two wins in consecutive weeks over Styles courtesy of Ambrose’s indulgence. Moreover, Ellsworth has also grabbed the opportunity of being the official mascot for SmackDown Live’s Survivor Series men’s tag team.

Provided James Ellsworth goes on to sign a full-time WWE contract, there are chances that he may be included in the Cruiserweight division of the company, irrespective of the brand it is in, after the title match between champion Brian Kendrick from Raw and Kalisto from SmackDown at the Survivor Series.

Judging by the response of the WWE Universe every time Ellsworth makes his way out to the ring, making him a permanent fixture on the roster may please the fans further. Watch Ellsworth and Edge share a five-second pose on Talking Smack:
