WWE Hall of Famer, Jim Ross, recently indicated on his podcast show The Ross Report, that he and CM Punk may team up as broadcasters for New Japan Pro Wrestling’s iPPV events.
The idea of Ross doing these NJPW shows was put forward through several other channels, but the impression was that New Japan didn’t buy into this idea.
The main reason behind it probably would have due to the fact that the iPPV’s do not have a lot of market outside of Japan.
Although Ross pitched in this idea, it is worth noting that there was no word from NJPW from making it happen and Ross did not have any talks with CM Punk regarding this.
