Last week, a sudden but jaw dropping speculation regarding Lilian Garcia’s release went wildfire among the internet community of WWE fans. Though it was later to put an end by the Decade Diva of WWE herself, coming hot on the heels of the release of some fan favorites made the rumour spread much more faster than anyone could have anticipated.
Lilian Garcia, who had completed ten years in WWE, recently took to social media to address the rumours about her release. She informed her fans that she was back at home tending to her father, who was battling cancer, for the past few weeks and thus couldn’t make an appearance on WWE television programming. She also refuted the claims regarding her release and assured fans that she is still with WWE.
Cagesideseats reports that the reason for the origin of the rumour was a backstage talk among the WWE employees. It was reported that so many people backstage were saying that she would be released and it was the major cause for the rumour to take hold.
Court Bayer reported on his podcast on May 13th, following a report from a bad source that Lilian had been released. After Lilian’s message, Bayer took to social media to apologize for his mistake and took sole responsibility for the bad report. He tweeted the following on 15th May to apologize to Lilian.
