On last week’s Raw, Strowman destroyed Reigns and rag dolled him throughout the arena before flipping the ambulance which was supposed to carry the 3-time world champion to the hospital. A report by Cagesideseats suggests that the segment was meant to build towards an ambulance match.

An ambulance match is contested under ‘no holds barred rules’ and in order to win, the competitors must force their opponents into the back of an ambulance and close the door. The last Ambulance match was between Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt on RAW in 2015.
The heart of the matter
According to the source, Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman could be announced as an ambulance match for the Payback PPV. Several rumours have suggested that the winner of Reigns vs. Strowman will go on to challenge Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

Several other reports have also suggested that a gimmick would allow Reigns to take a loss without squandering his momentum.
What’s next?
Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman is scheduled to take place on this month’s Raw exclusive PPV, Payback. As of now, no stipulation has been announced for their match.
There is a big question mark on Reigns’ status for next week’s Raw given that his elder brother, Matt Anoa’i (Rosey), passed away on April 18, 2017.

Braun Strowman is emerging as a top-tier talent who, in spite of being big, is also a decent wrestler. Strowman has been booked to perfection on Raw, and he has been a part of some very entertaining segments.
Even though WWE haven’t been able to garner sympathy for Roman Reigns in the aftermath of the assault that he suffered at hands of Braun Strowman, they seem to have found the right way to move forward with both men.
