What's the story?
During the RAW Reunion last Monday, a number of NXT talents were backstage, celebrating the event. Among those talents were Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir, and the current NXT Women's Champion. Shayna Baszler.
But, did Baszler's Instagram post at the Reunion tease the return... of the fourth MMA Horsewoman?
In case you didn't know...
Ronda Rousey, the fourth member of said Horsewomen and UFC Hall of Famer, went into the WrestleMania 35 main event as Raw Women's Champion against Becky Lynch and then-SmackDown Live Women's Champion Charlotte Flair.
Not only did Rousey take the pinfall (in controversial fashion, which I'm sure won't come up during her eventual return), but also injured her hand during the match, as well. There were also reports that Rousey wanted to take some time off to start a family with her husband, Travis Browne.
The heart of the matter
So, Shayna posted this photo in Instagram...
Now... there's three of them... but they're holding up four fingers.
Now, this could certainly mean nothing and they're just doing their usual Four Horsewomen schtick (I don't like calling it a "schtick", but I can't think of a better word). But, it's possible that they're teasing that Rousey, their fourth member, could be returning soon.
And, along those lines, could this mean that the other three will be joining her on the main roster?
It's highly unlikely, but WWE does love to use social media for stuff like this.
What's next?
At the moment, Baszler doesn't have an opponent for NXT Takeover: Toronto, although only two matches have been announced for that event. But, more than likely we'll see a set-up for a match coming up in the next couple of weeks.
As for Rousey, there's still no official word on her return, but considering some of her recent social media activity, there's a good possibility we'll be seeing her soon.
This is pure speculation for the moment. Only time will reveal if she is actually returning to the main roster.
