There was a sense of surprise as Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor to win the NXT Championship. The title victory was extremely unexpected as it was at a Live Event, where titles rarely change hands. Balor held the title for a long time after winning it from Kevin Owens and had a brilliant rivalry with Samoa Joe which started early this year. Joe and Balor put up various matches with Joe finally winning the Championship.
There has been a rematch scheduled for the title at the next NXT Takeover live from Full Sail Studios which will be a WWE Network Live Show. This will be the third straight Takeover event with Samoa Joe and Finn Balor competing in the main event. There has been a lot of speculation about the type of match and it is said that the match would be a gimmick match.
It is reported that the match will take place in a steel cage which would be a first in NXT. NXT has had ladder matches earlier but if this match happens, it would be the first ever in a cage. Samoa Joe and Finn Balor have shown the fans all that there is, but they could well be in for a treat if the reported stipulation is true.
