WWE Rumours: WWE veterans to return for the brand split

And the rumour machine whirs on...

It has been known for some time that the WWE would need to beef up its talent pool in order to cater to the requirements of the brand split and with there being two full-fledged and separate rosters for Smackdown and Raw, the mantra in the WWE has been “all hands on deck” of late.

And fair enough, the latest update on the matter seems to suggest that the WWE has reached out to former employees and veterans in order to procure their services to aid the cause, reports cagesideseats.com

To quote the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE is reportedly on the hunt to recruit ‘anyone who was a former star and can still go’.

However, not too many former Superstars are keen on taking the WWE up on the offer since the money, understandably, isn’t too good. It is also reported that the veterans that have been approached would be required to put over the younger talent in the manner the Dudley Boyz have been operating.

Huge names like Kurt Angle and even Goldberg have been thrown around in the past few weeks, but no concrete confirmation has been forthcoming on the issue yet.
