WWE News: What Brock Lesnar told Chris Jericho in backstage fight revealed

Lesnar apparently taunted Jericho by calling him a bunch of names, some of which were homophobic

If we rewind the brutal main event on Sunday, Brock Lesnar opened up a huge gash on Randy Orton’s head with a serious elbow. A lot of people were legit scared and confused at the ending of the match and no one really knew if Lesnar was supposed to bust Orton’s head open or not. However, one person who really cared about what went down on Sunday night was Chris Jericho. His misunderstanding of the way the match ended led to a physical confrontation backstage with Lesnar.

The first report on the incident came from Wrestling observer’s David Meltzer, which states that Jericho wanted to know if the ending of the match occurred as planned. He walked into the gorilla position and started asking Michael Hayes a series of questions about the incident. When Hayes refused to answer, Jericho reportedly said, “That’s bullsh*t”.

When Jericho was arguing with Hayes, Lesnar came through the door and instantly thought Jericho was talking about the just concluded match.

When the Beast thought he was talking about his match, he called Jericho a pus** according to one version. The other version says that he told Y2J to shut up and mind his own business. The two got face-to-face and started exchanging words, with one version saying they were shouting at each other the whole time.

They got tangled up against the wall and Lesnar told Jericho to punch him or kiss him. Witnessing the incident backstage, Triple H jumped in quickly and broke it up. The exchanges were heated enough as they went back for a second time but this time around, Vince McMahon got involved and broke it up. Jericho started trash talking about Lesnar, and McMahon told Jericho that it was all a work and ordered him to act like a professional.

Given that Lesnar taunted Jericho by telling him to kiss him on the forehead during the fight, and if Meltzer’s phrasing is also taken into account, one naturally comes to the conclusion that Lesnar must have also uttered homophobic slurs during the spat. Reports also suggest that he did use Homophobic slurs during the altercation. Lesnar had previously stated that he hates gay men, for which he had to apologize later after receiving some heat for his comments.

The likelihood that the seemingly untouchable Lesnar will not be punished for this unprofessional conduct would obviously be at odds with WWE’s partnership with GLAAD and their high-profile campaigns against homophobic bullying.

It’s not surprising that Jericho would be upset over what happened to Orton given that Lesnar who is known for taking things too far in the wrestling ring by causing real physical harm to his opponents.
