For those of you that felt that Natalya’s heel turn at Money In The Bank was a bolt out of the blue, here is the reason why.
Natty had viciously attacked Becky Lynch from behind following their loss to WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte and her aide, Dana Brooke, after a tag-team match in the recently concluded Money In The Bank pay-per-view event.
For many viewers, the ‘turn’ was completely unexpected, as the WWE just hadn’t built up the storylines to suggest that it was coming.
According to Allwrestlingnews.com, the initial plans made by the WWE involved Becky Lynch turning heel on Natalya and not the other way around. But apparently, something happened that caused the powers that be to have a change of heart.
While this has been portrayed after MITB as a continuation of Becky Lynch’s misfortune – being turned on by Paige, Charlotte and now Natalya – the reason as to why the plans heading into the pay-per-view were changed hasn’t yet been made public.
