WWE Rumours: WWE continues to slowly reel Hulk Hogan back

Hulk Hogan has been away from the company for a while now

As we previously reported, the WWE is slowly ‘testing the waters’ on a potential Hulk Hogan return to the company, with a target date in mind of Wrestlemania 33 season or at the actual event itself. Hogan’s troubles began when Gawker released Hogan’s sex tape which contained the WWE Hall Of Famer making some rather disturbing racial comments towards African Americans.

You can read a transcript of Hogan’s astonishing comments here:

“I guess we’re all a little racist. She is making some real bad decisions now.

“My daughter Brooke jumped sides on me. I spent $2-3 million on her music career, I’ve done everything like a jackass for her.

“I don’t know if Brooke was f*cking the black guy’s son.

“I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f*cking n*ggers. But then when it comes to nice people and sh*t, and whatever.

“I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f*ck some n*gger, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n*gger worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player!

“I guess we’re all a little racist. F**king n*gger.”

Shortly after Clash Of Champions, Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer noted that the WWE’s commercial which features Hogan’s voice is the company’s way of easing him back into the programming, and they have also lined up a few more commercials featuring the former multiple time WWE Champion. Meltzer said:

“They’ve played this commercial for two weeks now. They’ve filmed some commercials with Hulk Hogan — not with him personally, but they’ve filmed Hulk Hogan commercials. So they’re trying to ease him in for sure.”

Prior to being fired from his contract with WWE, Hogan was campaigning for one last match with the promotion as he had been begging ‘The Chairman Of The Board’ Vince McMahon to let him compete against the likes of John Cena, Rusev, and Ric Flair at Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas, Texas which was held at the AT&T Stadium.

As we know, Hogan is still able to take a bump as he showed us at Wrestlemania 31 during his run in during the match between Sting and Triple H. The 63-year-old Hall Of Famer has not competed in the WWE for almost a decade, but do you think he has one last match left in him?
