WWE Rumours: WWE planning a showdown between The Rock and Vin Diesel at WrestleMania 33

Will we see the great one in action at this WrestleMania?

WWE has a rich history of associating itself with pop culture stars to create some unforgettable moments on WWE TV for the fans during some of their biggest events of the year, such as WrestleMania and SummerSlam.

However, if the latest rumors surrounding former WWE World Heavyweight Champion The Rock are to be believed, they could be opening a completely new dimension of Hollywood-WWE affiliation for the fans at the upcoming WestleMania in Orlando, Florida. The Hollywood star, who recently completed the shooting for his upcoming movie, Fast and Furious 8, posted a video from the set of the movie 2 weeks ago.

As seen in the below video posted by The Rock on Instagram, the former WWE Champion called some of his male co-stars "chicken sh*t", accusing them of not acting professionally:

After the post went viral, the Life & Style magazine reported that the Attitude Era star was actually referring to his Hollywood co-actor, who is the face of the Fast and Furious franchise, Vin Diesel.

According to the website, though, there is not much truth in the stories of heat between the two actors and all of this is nothing more than a publicity stunt to promote the 8th film of their franchise. The site claimed that an inside source has told them that all this has been done to set up a match between the two co-stars at WrestleMania 33.

The match planned for the grandest stage of them all would help them to promote the latest movie of the franchise, which is set to release 10 days after WrestleMania 33 goes on floors in April. How real are these speculations and if we would really see a showdown between The Rock and Vin Diesel at WrestleMania is yet to be seen, but there’s not doubt it’ll be a fun addition to the show if WWE is indeed planning on the said match.

Furious 8 is set to release on April 12th, and WrestleMania 33 will be Live from Citrus Bowl Stadium, in Orlando Florida on 2nd April.
