The new WWE Women's champion, 'The Boss' Sasha Banks, seems to be enjoying her first title run in the main roster. After winning the title on the Raw two weeks ago, the former NXT star recently revealed her own custom side plates for the belt in the following Instagram post:
It's notable here that the first star to have a title with custom side plates was none other than the former WWE Champion The Rock himself. He introduced the new design for the WWE championship belt including custom side plates back in 2013 after winning the title from CM Punk one month prior at Royal Rumble 2013.
WWE retired the Diva's championship at WrestleMania 32 and introduced a new Women's Championship belt which was similar to the current WWE World Championship belt in terms of design. Former WWE Women’s Champion and women’s wrestling legend Lita introduced the new championship belt to WWE universe during the WrestleMania 32 pre-show.
Charlotte was the first winner of the title, on that night itself, in a triple threat match against Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch and she held the title for another 113 days before dropping it to Sasha Banks on the first post-draft episode of Monday Night Raw.
