Satino Marella set for a return on RAW, update on his WWE status

Santino has made occasional appearances on WWE over the years

According to PWInsider, Santino Marella is set for a comeback on the upcoming RAW episode, with his appearance at the recent Slammy Awards acting as the stage setter for his upcoming appearance.

The wrestler announced his retirement from wrestling last year after picking up a third neck injury, but resumed training soon after and made a comeback after just two months.

Santino continued to make occasional appearances for WWE and among other things, promoted his new movie Jingle All The Way 2, hosted his own Royal Rumble lottery earlier this year as well as other appearances.

As noted above, Santino made an appearance at the recent Slammy awards to make a presentation as well as an appearance on SuperSmackDown soon after, where he immediately crossed paths with Stardust and The Ascension who ruined his Christmas Party, with Santino vowing revenge.

The Canadian-born wrestler will share screen time on RAW with Vince McMahon, Ric Flair and John Cena, who is set to make a comeback against WWE United Stated Champion Alberto Del Rio.

Let’s hope Santino, who has won a United States Championship, two Intercontinental Championships and one Tag Team Championship, creates waves on his return. According to backstage reports, he is set to continue with these occasional appearances whenever WWE calls of him.
