KENTA strikes a deal with WWE as Hogan looks on

WWE have announced that they have officially signed Japanese wrestling star KENTA after a public deal was struck between both the parties during their tour in Japan.

After a lot of pursuing by the company, they finally managed to land the 33-year-old to NXT where KENTA will be training and performing for now in order to prepare himself for the main WWE roster.

The signing took place in Osaka which was WWE’s Live Event venue and Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was a part of the roster as he travelled to the Asian country to hype the deal.

Hogan supervised over the signing segment and he was joined by “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart in the ring. The Hulkster recalled his memorable wrestling matches against Antonio Inoki, Stan Hanson and Great Muta in Osaka after which Hart shared his views on the future of the WWE and stated that KENTA belonged to that bright future.

KENTA came out after the legends addressed the crowd in attendance as he put pen into paper in front of the packed house confirming his status as a WWE superstar. Later in a press release, KENTA expressed his gratitude stating, "I am humbled to join WWE's NXT division and look forward to honing my craft with the global leader in sports-entertainment."

WWE COO, Triple H believes that signing the former 3-time GHC Junior Heavyweight will not only increase the global fanbase but also create a diverse roster at the same time. The Game said, "WWE's signing of Kenta reflects our continued dedication to creating a diverse roster that appeals to our global fan base."

It is being speculated that KENTA will soon be a part of the  WWE locker room after his time in TNA. He will begin his journey in the WWE NXT in Florida, Miami.
