The SmackDown Women's title picture for the greatest part of the previous year was dominated by Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. The two best friends decided to take women's wrestling to the next level, putting on a bunch of great matches, one after the other. They are responsible for making women's wrestling such a mainstream attraction.
But there comes a time when enough of a good thing can potentially become a bad thing. Charlotte and Becky Lynch can put on great matches until the end of time, but the audience will certainly tire of the same program unless it is freshened up with new faces and challengers. And this is why I think that the two women need to be kept apart for the time being.
They are the Rock and Austin of the women's division. They are bound to clash down the line again, someday very soon indeed.
