I personally think that Rusev is far too talented an individual to be benched while the rest of the roster makes merry. Remember just how hot he was when Rusev Day was the biggest thing in the whole, wide world?
It is baffling that there wouldn't be a role for him on television on either WWE brand. I personally think that Rusev could be the perfect heel to get someone like Aleister Black over if the situation demands it.

Aleister Black needs to battle opponents that are bigger and stronger than he is and come out on top to prove that he is indeed a very dominant individual. He also needs to overcome outside interference from Lana, much like he overcame Zelina Vega's attacks back when he was feuding with Andrade.
Plus, he seems like the perfect guy to step up for a fight if an open challenge is laid out.
