When two heels have a mutual enemy, they usually tend to band together to take the babyface down. We saw Carmella make her big return to WWE SmackDown in a pretty massive manner last week and go straight for Sasha Banks, and we also know that WWE SmackDown stars Carmella and Bayley are the best of friends in real life.

For Carmella to enter the WWE Women's SmackDown Championship picture in such a manner as Bayley's ally, would solve yet another issue which is that she doesn't have to enter the title picture immediately.

Neither she nor Sasha Banks can afford a loss at this point, and she could just be Bayley's backup on WWE SmackDown for a while, as Bayley and Sasha Banks wage a war against one another.

In time, Bayley and Carmella could also team up and go after the Tag Team Championships when Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler potentially show up on WWE SmackDown, as the titles are not confined to any brand.
